Ingredients of Bacon and Potato Soup
- 100 gm bacon
- 3 cloves garlic
- 5 cup chicken broth
- 3 cup cheese-cheddar
- salt as required
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 onion
- 3 tablespoon flour
- 70 gm potato
- 1 cup heavy cream
- black pepper as required
- 2 spring onions
How to make Bacon and Potato Soup
Step 1. Wash the potatoesWash the potatoes properly under running water. Transfer them into a deep-bottomed vessel half filled with water and boil them over medium flame. Meanwhile, in a pan add oil and saute onions and garlic till they turn golden brown in color.
Step 2. Cook the chicken broth and fry bacon stripsNow, add flour and chicken broth to the pan one by one and mix everything well over low flame. Side by side, fry bacon strips on another pan till they turn crispy from all the sides. Once fried, transfer them on a plate with paper towels, in order to soak up the excess oil.
Step 3. Add cheese, mashed potatoes and cook the soupAdd cheese to the pan containing chicken broth and stir until its melted properly. Check for the potatoes, if they are boiled then mash them using your hands. Pour these mashed potatoes in to the soup along with salt and pepper. Mix well over medium flame and boil for another 3-4 minutes.
Step 4. Garnish and serve hotSwitch off the flame and transfer this soup to a large serving bowl. Garnish it with bacon strips and serve hot.
